- Idaho Fish and Game’s Oct. 1 statewide highlights note plans more than 210,000 catchable rainbows this month, including Panhandle lakes and Southwest plants at Arrowrock, Lucky Peak, and the Boise River. Separate from the Clearwater Region sheet.
- Idaho Fish and Game’s Sept. 29 Clearwater note schedules nearly 29,000 catchable 10- to 12-inch rainbows for October, including 6,000 at Spring Valley Reservoir and 5,000 each at Deyo and Soldiers Meadow.
- Alan Liere’s Sept. 17 Spokesman-Review report: a Coeur d’Alene kokanee troll kept 22 fish, mostly 14–18 inches at 50 feet, and the Snake–Clearwater confluence has picked up for fall Chinook and steelhead after a slow first week.
- Idaho Fish and Game’s Sept. 1 Clearwater Region sheet lists more than 6,500 catchable 10- to 12-inch rainbow trout for September, including 3,000 at Winchester Lake and 480 at Fenn Pond.
- Idaho Fish and Game’s 2026 fall Chinook season (Aug. 18–Nov. 1) opened the North Fork Clearwater on Sept. 1 — three adults a day, only one unclipped — on a projected 26,000-fish return to Lower Granite.
