Pennsylvania adds Caroline Lake to year-round stocked trout waters
Caroline Lake in Bucks County joins Pennsylvania's list of stocked trout waters open to year-round fishing on Jan. 1, 2027. The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission published the final designation in the Nov. 7, 2026, Pennsylvania Bulletin after approving the change at its Oct. 26 meeting.
The water will be managed under 58 Pa. Code § 65.19, the same special-regulation package that already covers other year-round stocked trout lakes. A proposal notice ran Sept. 5, 2026, and the Commission said it received no public comments.
Year-round stocked trout waters keep fishing open past the usual closed periods that apply on many other stocked waters, with the program's size and creel rules. Anglers should confirm the current § 65.19 limits before opening day of the new designation, since related trout minimum-size updates are also queued for early 2027 on several special-regulation waters.
