Community rules

Comments on The Gillnet are for anglers talking about the news. A moderator reviews new commenters before their comments go public.

1. Be respectful. Disagree with the story or each other, but go after ideas, not people.
2. No harassment or hate. No threats, slurs, or attacks on anyone for who they are.
3. No spam or ads. No selling, promo codes, or link dropping. One relevant link is fine.
4. No doxxing. Don’t post anyone’s personal information: addresses, phone numbers, emails, or private details.
5. Keep it fishing. Stay on the story: rules, seasons, conditions, what’s biting, and the water.
6. Moderators may remove anything. We can hide or delete any comment and suspend any account, for any reason, without notice.
7. You must be 13 or older to comment.
