Oregon schedules 10,250 trout for the week of Oct. 12–16

US FishingOregon

Oregon’s next trout week is smaller than the Oct. 5–9 list and tilted toward trophy fish. The Department of Fish and Wildlife stocking schedule for Oct. 12–16, 2026, lists eight waters and 10,250 trout: 8,800 in the trophy column and 1,450 in the legal-size column. No broodstock or fingerlings are on this week’s rows.

The Southwest Zone, out of the Charleston office, carries most of the trophy plants. Upper Empire Lake is scheduled for 3,000. Bradley Lake and Butterfield Lake are 1,600 each. Saunders Lake and Powers Pond are 1,300 each. The only Central Zone stop is Metolius Pond, out of Bend, at 400 legal-size fish and no trophy fish.

Willamette Zone legal-size plants are Alton Baker Canal in Springfield at 750 and Canby Pond at 300. ODFW says the schedule can change without a database update: poor water can send fish to another water, and a plant can slide a week early or late. Check the weekly table, and the recreation report for the water you plan to fish, before you drive.
