Channel Islands Sunday: 216 yellowfin and 368 rockfish off Oxnard

Oxnard’s Sunday sheet split between tuna and rockfish. SoCal Fish Reports lists Channel Islands Sportfishing with 6 boats and 6 trips for 171 anglers on Oct. 4, 2026. The landing total was 368 rockfish, 216 yellowfin tuna, 119 bullet tuna, 116 whitefish, 84 calico bass, 26 skipjack tuna, 24 sand bass, 12 sheephead, 12 yellowtail, 5 bonito, 1 sculpin, 1 lingcod, 1 barracuda, and 1 white seabass.

Speed Twin’s half-day, 50 anglers, carried the tuna: 127 yellowfin, 104 bullet tuna, 9 skipjack, 119 rockfish, 62 whitefish, and 1 lingcod. Island Fox’s three-quarter day, 20 anglers, added 61 yellowfin, 9 skipjack, 26 calico bass, 21 sand bass, and 2 yellowtail. Aloha Spirit’s full day, 25 anglers, put up 21 yellowfin, 15 bullet tuna, 7 yellowtail, 28 calico bass, 5 bonito, 7 skipjack, 1 barracuda, and the landing’s white seabass. Island Tak’s full day, 6 anglers, was a bass boat: 30 calico bass, 3 yellowtail, and 2 yellowfin.

The rockfish load sat on the other two boats. Indicator, 20 anglers, landed 151 rockfish, 54 whitefish, 12 sheephead, 5 yellowfin, 1 skipjack, and 1 sculpin. Gentleman’s three-quarter day, 50 anglers, added 98 rockfish and 3 sand bass. This is the Oxnard Sunday total, separate from Dana Wharf and Fisherman’s Landing on the same date.
