Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission meets virtually Oct. 9
Washington’s Fish and Wildlife Commission has a short virtual meeting on Friday, Oct. 9. A department news release dated Oct. 2, 2026, says the session will cover invasive freshwater mussel prevention and a briefing on inland shoreline fishing access, then a decision on the 2027 meeting calendar.
Staff will brief the commission on mussel prevention, readiness, and rulemaking. The commission will also consider a request to hand two approved rule petitions to the director. Those petitions are about matching trout rules with the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation on Lake Rufus Woods and Lake Roosevelt. The shoreline-access briefing comes after that. The meeting ends with the 2027 schedule, a debrief, and planning for later meetings.
The session will be live-streamed. Agenda and attendance details are on the commission webpage. A recording will be posted there afterward. The commission office is the media contact at 360-902-2267.
