Washington’s catchable-trout sheet: 22,630 rainbows at Roses Lake on Oct. 12
Washington’s catchable-trout trucks were busy from Monday through Thursday. The Department of Fish and Wildlife plant report lists 28,441 rainbow trout dated Oct. 12 through Oct. 15, 2026. The page covers fish at three per pound or larger, including broodstock, and it says a plant can happen before a lake is open. Regulations, not the stocking list, decide when fishing is allowed.
The largest load is Roses Lake in Chelan County on Oct. 12: 22,630 rainbows at 2.75 fish per pound from Chelan PUD Hatchery. The same day, Ford Hatchery put 1,000 rainbows into Williams Lake and 834 into Hatch Lake, both in Stevens County, at 0.65 fish per pound.
King County’s Green Lake got 1,632 rainbows on Oct. 13 at 0.85 fish per pound from Whitehorse Pond. Oct. 14 plants from Tokul Creek Hatchery, at 0.60 fish per pound, were 540 rainbows at Lake Alice in King County and 450 at Blackmans Lake in Snohomish County. Oct. 15 repeated that hatchery and that size: 905 rainbows at Lake Desire in King County and another 450 at Blackmans. These plants are separate from the Cascade and Clearwater closure notes already on the desk.
