Pennsylvania’s fall trout schedule lists Oct. 15–16 plants, all rainbows except Wissahickon
Pennsylvania’s fall trout calendar has a short list for the middle of last week. The Fish and Boat Commission’s adult-trout search, filtered to fall stockings, lists these plants. The commission’s stocking page says every event can change without notice.
Oct. 15: rainbow trout at Canoe Creek Lake in Blair County, meeting at 10:30 a.m. at the Canoe Creek State Park office, fish from Pleasant Gap, under big-bass rules; rainbows at Little Buffalo Lake in Perry County, 10 a.m. at the state park, fish from Huntsdale, also big bass; and rainbows in Buffalo Creek section 3, from Little Buffalo Run to 0.6 miles above the Craigsville Road bridge, 11:15 a.m. at the Worthington Fire Hall, fish from Bellefonte, under delayed-harvest artificial-lures-only rules. That Buffalo Creek section is listed under both Armstrong and Butler counties with the same limits and the same meeting.
Oct. 15 also lists brown trout and rainbow trout in Wissahickon Creek section 4 in Philadelphia, from Germantown Pike to the tributary at Forbidden Drive and Lincoln Drive, with a 1 p.m. meeting at Northwestern Avenue and Wissahickon Drive and fish from Pleasant Gap. That creek is a stocked-trout water on this schedule. It is a different item from the do-not-eat advisory already on the desk.
Oct. 16, all rainbows from Bellefonte with an 11:45 a.m. meeting at the Loyalhanna Watershed office in Ligonier: Keystone Lake and Northmoreland Lake, both big-bass waters, and Loyalhanna Creek section 3 from the State Route 711 bridge to the State Route 2045 bridge, delayed harvest, artificial lures only.
