ODFW’s Oct. 5–9 trout trucks include Lost Creek, Dexter, and Dorena
Oregon’s next trout week is on the board. The Department of Fish and Wildlife stocking schedule for Oct. 5–9, 2026, lists nine waters and about 21,110 trout: 18,310 in the legal-size column and 2,800 in the trophy column. The largest plant is Lost Creek Reservoir in the Southwest Zone, out of the Central Point office, at 5,000 legal-size fish and 2,300 trophy fish.
Willamette Zone stops that week are Dexter Reservoir (5,060 legal-size), Dorena Reservoir (2,700), Alton Baker Canal in Springfield (750), and Canby Pond (300). Southeast Zone plants out of Hines are Chickahominy Reservoir, Becker Pond, and Burns Gravel Pond, 1,500 legal-size each. Fall River, in the Central Zone out of Bend, is scheduled for 500 trophy trout and no legal-size fish.
The week before that, Sept. 28–Oct. 2, already covered a different set, including North Fork Reservoir, Estacada Lake, and Hills Creek. The Oct. 5 sheet is the next turn. ODFW’s Willamette Zone notes say drought can change the schedule, so check the weekly table before you drive.
