Konawa’s Oct. 18 report: bass and hybrids good in 84-degree clear water

US FishingOklahoma

Oklahoma’s newest warden sheet is Konawa, not the southeast lakes already on the desk. The Department of Wildlife Conservation fishing-report page lists an Oct. 18, 2026, report from Garret Harley, game warden in Seminole County. Elevation is normal and stable. The water is 84 degrees and clear.

Largemouth bass are rated good on crankbaits, plastic baits, and spinnerbaits, around the main lake, points, the river channel, and weed beds. Striped hybrid bass and white bass are also good, on Alabama rigs, crankbaits, and live shad, around the discharge, the inlet, the main lake, and the river channel. Channel catfish are fair on chicken liver and cut bait around the inlet, riprap, and rocks.

The department’s note on the same page says March through June is when warden reports are required, and that outside that window anglers can call a county warden or a bait shop. This Konawa line is the Oct. 18 entry. The Oct. 16 southeast reports for the Lower Mountain Fork, Sardis, Broken Bow, and the other McCurtain and Pushmataha waters are a separate sheet.

This is a The Gillnet news desk summary, not a reprint.
