Hancock angler wins the LOC Fall Derby with a 30-pound, 13-ounce Chinook

Jack MacDowall of Hancock, New York, won the Fall Lake Ontario Counties Trout and Salmon Derby grand prize with a 30-pound, 13-ounce Chinook. The fish paid $20,000.

He caught the king on the second day of the derby, fishing out of Oswego with mate Nathaniel Murteza. Outdoor News reports that MacDowall has worked the LOC derbies for more than 25 years before this one finally produced the big king.
