Nevada Nov. 4 sheet: Mead stripers early and late, trout in Las Vegas ponds

US FishingNevada

Nevada Department of Wildlife's statewide fishing report dated Nov. 4, 2026, puts southern waters in a familiar late-fall pattern. On Lake Mead, the steadiest striped bass action has been early morning and again at dusk. Anglers fishing anchovies around Hemenway have averaged about four fish in the 2- to 4-pound range. At Government Wash, shad-colored jigs and swimbaits worked near the bottom in about 50 feet of water have produced, and smallmouth are chasing soft plastics in shallow coves.

Around Lake Mohave and Willow Beach, rainbow trout of 12 to 16 inches are showing up, while striped bass near Willow Beach stay slow. Shore and dock anglers at Laughlin are catching both stripers and rainbows; one report had an 11-pound striper on an anchovy just south of Casino Row. NDOW also planted rainbow trout in Las Vegas community ponds. Stocked fish are taking worms, bright Rooster Tails and rainbow PowerBait. City park limits stay three fish a day, and fish or fish parts as bait are prohibited.

In the east, bass fishing is still generally good but expected to slow as water cools, and trout fishing is fair to good with more fall stocking planned. Kirch WMA and Eagle Valley Reservoir still have open water with thin morning ice along the edges; Echo Canyon is low but fishable near the dam.
