North Dakota stocks 17,730 catchable rainbows in the Missouri River in October

North Dakota put 17,730 catchable rainbow trout into the Missouri River in October 2026. The Game and Fish Department’s public stocking report for that water, listed as lake 004, also shows 11,420 tiger trout stocked the same month as advanced fingerlings.

The report’s size key puts catchable trout at 8 to 10 inches and advanced fingerlings at 4 to 10 inches. The October 2026 lines are the rainbow catchables and the tiger trout advanced fingerlings. The sheet gives the month, species, number, and size class, not a day of the month for the plant.
