U.S. ICCAT advisers meet in Silver Spring Oct. 14; comments close Oct. 7

The federal advisory committee that briefs the U.S. section of the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas meets in person Oct. 14–15, 2026, in Silver Spring. A National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration notice in the Federal Register on Sept. 30, 2026, sets the open session for Oct. 14 from 8:45 a.m. to about 12:30 p.m. Eastern time at the DoubleTree by Hilton, 8777 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring, MD 20910. Public comment starts around 11:45 a.m. The rest of the meeting is closed and is expected to end by 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 15.

The open morning is for the status of Atlantic highly migratory species and other scientific matters.
