Russell County bass teams take two seconds at Barren River Lake

Russell County’s school bass teams came off Barren River Lake with two second-place bags. Laker Country 104.9 FM WJRS reported Oct. 5, 2026, that the Russell County Laker Bass Team fished the tournament this past weekend.

In the junior division, Carter Hall and Rylan Holt finished second at 4.78 pounds and also had the division’s biggest fish, 2.94 pounds. On the high school side, Gabe Williams and Calan Long placed second with 11.55 pounds, and their 4.08-pound bass was big-fish. Evan Bradshaw and Ryan Stanton finished fourth in that division at 8.99 pounds.

WJRS says every team moves to Lake Cumberland for the Bradley Roy tournament this coming weekend, Oct. 10–11. The station credits the photo with the story to the RCHS Bass Fishing Team.
