Iowa’s Natural Resource Commission meets Thursday in Shenandoah
Iowa’s Natural Resource Commission meets in Shenandoah on Thursday with a fishing-regulations contract on the consent agenda. An Iowa Department of Natural Resources release dated Oct. 2, 2026, sets the business meeting for 10 a.m. Oct. 8 at the Shenandoah Public Library, 201 South Elm Street.
Commissioners tour on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Waubonsie State Park and Riverton Wildlife Area in Fremont County. On the fishing side of the Oct. 8 agenda, the consent list includes Contract Amendment-2 with Kalkomey Enterprises, LLC, labeled fishing regulations. Other water items on the list include alum-application contracts for Casey Lake with the Black Hawk County Conservation Board and with SOLitude Lake Management, and boat-ramp parking improvements at Rock Creek State Park in Jasper County.
