Delaware lists two Slaughter Beach family fishing mornings and evenings
Delaware has two learn-to-fish sessions on the bay at Slaughter Beach this month. DNREC’s event pages list Family Fishing 101 on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026, at 10 a.m., and again on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026, at 4 p.m. Both are at the Slaughter Beach Pavilion, 359 Bay Avenue, Milford.
Staff from the DuPont Nature Center will walk families through identifying fish, tying knots, casting, and fishing from the Bayshore. The pages say pre-registration is required and space is limited. The contact is Patrick Ruhl at 302-422-1329 or Patrick.Ruhl@delaware.gov.
This is a The Gillnet news desk summary, not a reprint.
