Seaforth Friday: Highliner back with 196 yellowfin and 84 dorado
Seaforth Sportfishing’s Friday staff update, posted Sept. 25, 2026, at 2:46 p.m., put three offshore boats on the Mission Bay sheet.
Pacifica checked in from a 2.5-day with 100 yellowfin tuna. Captain Andrew reported that grade at 12 to 25 pounds.
Two boats were already back at the dock. Highliner’s 2.5-day returned 196 yellowfin, 13 yellowtail, 1 striped marlin, and 84 dorado. Tribute finished an overnight with 100 yellowfin, 2 dorado, and 1 striped marlin.
The landing’s same page still lists Thursday’s finished San Diego and Sea Watch full-days. This brief is the Friday returns. Inshore, New Seaforth’s half-days were seeing bass, barracuda, bonito, and a shot at yellowtail. Staff recommend a 20–30 lb live-bait setup with hooks from #4 through 2/0, plus surface irons, stickbaits, and smaller sniper-style jigs. Rod rentals and fishing licenses are available at check-in.
