Morro Bay Sunday: 509 rockfish, and one bluefin on Endeavor

Morro Bay Landing’s Sunday, Sept. 27, 2026, dock was a rockfish day with one bluefin on the full-day boat. SoCal Fish Reports lists 3 boats and 3 trips for 76 anglers. The landing total was 509 rockfish, 120 bocaccio, 76 red rockfish, 55 copper rockfish, 44 lingcod to 18 pounds, 12 bonito, and 1 bluefin tuna.

Avenger’s morning half-day, 31 anglers, carried the rockfish count: 279 rockfish, 21 copper rockfish, 10 red rockfish, and 7 lingcod to 12 pounds. Starfire’s three-quarter-day, 28 anglers, landed 200 rockfish, 32 red rockfish, 28 copper rockfish, 20 bocaccio, 12 bonito, and 8 lingcod to 12 pounds.

Endeavor’s full day, 17 anglers, was the different trip. That boat landed 1 bluefin tuna, 100 bocaccio, 34 red rockfish, 30 rockfish, 29 lingcod to 18 pounds, and 6 copper rockfish. The bluefin is the only tuna on the Morro Bay sheet. This is Sunday’s dock, separate from the Sept. 11 Morro Bay rockfish-and-lingcod note already on the desk. Confirm current CDFW groundfish rules before you keep rockfish or lingcod.
