H&M Landing Sunday: 608 yellowfin, with Tradition and Old Glory in front

H&M Landing’s Sunday, Sept. 27, 2026, dock is a yellowfin day with yellowtail still on the local boats. San Diego Fish Reports lists 10 boats and 12 trips for 342 anglers. The landed count was 608 yellowfin tuna, 147 yellowtail, 115 bullet tuna, and 108 dorado, plus 89 rockfish, 75 sculpin, 71 calico bass, 70 red rockfish, 54 sand bass, 46 bonito, 43 whitefish, 31 sheephead, 14 skipjack, 12 barracuda, 7 wahoo, 2 striped marlin, 1 halibut, 1 perch, and 1 white seabass.

The longer trips carried the tuna. Tradition’s 2-day, 23 anglers, landed 210 yellowfin, 45 bullet tuna, 24 dorado, and 11 skipjack. Old Glory’s overnight, 24 anglers, landed 140 yellowfin, 50 bullet tuna, 8 dorado, and 2 striped marlin — the same mix H&M’s on-the-water note called in as limits of yellowfin, 8 dorado, 2 marlin, and 50 bullet tuna. Grande’s 1.5-day, 25 anglers, added 125 yellowfin, 20 dorado, 6 yellowtail, and 2 skipjack. Legend’s 1.5-day, 29 anglers, was 82 yellowfin. Nautilus’s 1.5-day, 6 anglers, was 30 yellowfin and 8 dorado.

Producer’s overnight, 29 anglers, checked in 20 yellowfin, 16 bullet tuna, and 10 yellowtail. H&M’s Sept. 27 note says that boat called in a 60-pound yellowfin and reported better grade in the area. Ocean Odyssey’s 2.5-day, 12 anglers, was the dorado trip on the sheet: 48 dorado, 11 yellowtail, and 7 wahoo. Relentless’s full day, 29 anglers, finished with 1 yellowfin and 3 bullet tuna.

Inshore, Malihini’s full day to the Coronado Islands, 35 anglers, matched the landing’s own count: 91 yellowtail, 52 rockfish, 47 calico bass, 43 whitefish, 19 sculpin, 16 sheephead, 15 bonito, and 1 skipjack. Premier ran two half-days. The morning trip, 52 anglers, included 1 yellowtail, 1 halibut, and 1 white seabass with the sand bass, sculpin, and calico. The afternoon trip, 43 anglers, added 28 yellowtail, 25 sand bass, and 23 bonito. Tradition’s separate three-quarter-day, 35 anglers, put up 70 red rockfish, 21 sand bass, 15 sheephead, 12 barracuda, and 1 bullet tuna. Sea Adventure 80 was still out — day 2 of a 3-day, calling in limits of yellowfin plus 6 dorado and 5 yellowtail — and is not on this landed sheet. This is Sunday’s dock, separate from the mid-September H&M notes already on the desk.
