H&M Landing Tuesday: Legend’s 406 yellowfin lead a 670-fish tuna day

H&M Landing’s Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2026, dock was a yellowfin day. San Diego Fish Reports lists 8 boats and 9 trips for 201 anglers, as of 2:30 p.m. The landed count was 670 yellowfin tuna, fish to 40 pounds, plus 62 calico bass, 50 sheephead, 35 bullet tuna, 31 yellowtail, 30 rockfish, 25 bonito, 23 sand bass, 18 skipjack, 13 dorado, 2 white seabass, 2 bluefin, and 1 halibut.

Legend’s 2-day, 28 anglers, carried the tuna: 406 yellowfin, 15 skipjack, 5 yellowtail, and 3 dorado. Horizon’s 4-day, 19 anglers, added 140 yellowfin, 56 calico bass, 50 sheephead, 16 yellowtail, 5 dorado, and 2 bluefin. Those two bluefin are the only ones on the landing total. Grande’s full-day offshore, 32 anglers, landed 57 yellowfin and 2 yellowtail.

Producer’s overnight, 12 anglers, finished with 37 yellowfin, 31 bullet tuna, 3 yellowtail, 3 skipjack, and 2 dorado. Malihini’s full day, 28 anglers, added 30 yellowfin, 4 bullet tuna, and 3 dorado. Premier’s two half-days stayed inshore: the morning boat had 25 bonito, 6 calico, and 1 yellowtail; the afternoon boat had 30 rockfish, 23 sand bass, 4 yellowtail, 2 white seabass, and 1 halibut.
