Dolphin: 18 yellowtail and limits of bonito and calico off Point Loma

Fisherman’s Landing’s Dolphin closed a three-quarter-day trip on Sept. 23, 2026, with the fish still inside half-day range. San Diego Fish Reports put 29 anglers on 18 yellowtail, 208 bonito (limits), 145 calico bass (limits), 10 rockfish, and 3 sheephead.

The landing said half-day trips on Dolphin have been excellent for bass and bonito the last couple of weeks, with some yellowtail mixed in. Full-day offshore trips on the same boat start Monday, Sept. 28, and run through Oct. 1. This is the local three-quarter day, not Liberty’s two-day on the same Wednesday sheet.
