Channel Islands Monday: 47 yellowtail and 117 bonito on two Oxnard boats

Channel Islands Sportfishing’s Monday, Sept. 28, 2026, Oxnard dock was a bonito and yellowtail day on two boats. This is Monday’s sheet. It is separate from the Sunday, Sept. 27, whitefish, rockfish, and calico brief already on the desk.

Sportfishing Report lists 2 boats and 2 trips for 50 anglers. The landing total was 117 bonito, 48 sand bass, 47 yellowtail, 38 calico bass, 21 barracuda, 3 rockfish, and 1 sheephead.

Aloha Spirit’s full day, 30 anglers, carried the yellowtail: 39 yellowtail, 50 bonito, 37 sand bass, 16 calico bass, 13 barracuda, 3 rockfish, and 1 sheephead. Island Fox’s three-quarter-day, 20 anglers, was the bonito boat: 67 bonito, 22 calico bass, 11 sand bass, 8 barracuda, and 8 yellowtail.
