Channel Islands Wednesday: 111 calico, 65 barracuda, and 56 yellowtail
Channel Islands Sportfishing’s Oxnard dock on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026, was a calico-and-barracuda mix with solid yellowtail. SoCal Fish Reports lists 4 boats and 4 trips for 88 anglers, as of 2:30 p.m. The total was 111 calico bass, 65 barracuda, 56 yellowtail, 46 bonito, 21 sand bass, 6 whitefish, 5 rockfish, and 1 sheephead.
Speed Twin’s half-day twilight, 40 anglers, led the barracuda with 43 fish, plus 24 yellowtail, 21 sand bass, 17 calico, 12 bonito, 6 whitefish, 5 rockfish, and 1 sheephead. Island Fox’s full day, 16 anglers, put up 38 calico and 24 bonito. Aloha Spirit’s full day, 13 anglers, mixed 35 calico, 20 barracuda, 14 yellowtail, and 10 bonito. Gentleman’s three-quarter day, 19 anglers, added 21 calico and 16 yellowtail. This is Wednesday’s Oxnard sheet, separate from Tuesday’s single-boat barracuda brief.
