Dawsonville’s Hayden Seabolt wins Lake Lanier BFL finale with 37-8

Hayden Seabolt of Dawsonville, Georgia, won the Phoenix Bass Fishing League Bulldog Division finale on Lake Lanier. The two-day total, reported out of Gainesville on Sept. 28, 2026, was 10 bass for 37 pounds, 8 ounces and a $4,830 paycheck. It was the fifth and last qualifier for the division.
Seabolt, who lives on Lanier, said he found a stretch in final practice and spent mornings burning a Berkley Choppo along rocky banks and wood in the mid- to south lake, then used his Garmin LiveScope window on the ends of long points with a Berkley Lab Series Minnow. Dylan Akins of Flowery Branch was second at 36-10 and took Berkley Big Bass boater with a 6-12 worth $300. John Duvall of Madison locked up Bulldog Division Angler of the Year with 1,299 points.
Adam Johnson of Duluth, Georgia, won the co-angler division with six bass for 17 pounds, 1 ounce and $2,365. Richard Causey of Perry took co-angler AOY with 1,268 points. Qualifiers head to the Oct. 15–17 BFL Regional on Clarks Hill Lake in Appling, Georgia.
