Willow Beach hatchery stocks 700 rainbow trout at the fishing pier
The Colorado River pier at Willow Beach got a fresh plant of rainbow trout. A stocking notice attributed to Willow Beach National Fish Hatchery, dated Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, says 700 rainbow trout were released that day at the Willow Beach fishing pier in Willow Beach, Arizona.
The same notice series on Nevada Fish Reports shows smaller plants at that pier earlier in the fall: 500 rainbow trout on Sept. 24 and 500 on Sept. 17. Willow Beach sits on the Colorado River below Hoover Dam, in Mohave County. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service hatchery there raises rainbow trout for recreational stockings below Hoover and Davis dams, along with endangered razorback sucker and bonytail.
This plant is separate from the Arizona Game and Fish community-water catfish schedule already on the desk. The Oct. 1 notice is the hatchery’s own count for the pier, not a statewide trout week.
